Valentine's Day has arrived and whether you've been together with your SO for just a few months or for several years, planning a romantic evening can be tricky. Fear not, there are still many options to treat your special someone.
Here are five ideas for how to celebrate Valentine's Day in Brussels.
1. Belgian chocolate workshop
Belgium is renowned for its chocolate and Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the country's finest. If you're not keen on getting a box of chocolate, perhaps a chocolate-making workshop together could be the activity for you.

2. Dinner for two
It's a Valentine's classic for a reason. Sharing a meal boosts connection and well-being and the most romantic day of the year gives couple's an opportunity to turn dinner into something really special.
Brussels is brimming with options catering to all tastes and budgets. The Iris restaurant at The Hotel (the large hotel at Louise) has a Valentine's Day menu, or you can enjoy speakeasy bar and restaurant Lily's. For a round-up of some of the city's most highly-rated establishments, see here.

4. Belgian beer bath
Besides chocolate, Belgium is celebrated for its beer. Perhaps less known are the beer baths that have recently opened in downtown Brussels. Though a longstanding tradition in Eastern Europe, especially the Czech Republic, the concept is slowly catching on in Western Europe.
At Bath & Barley, you can enjoy a beer bath for two together, which relieves stress and rejuvenates the skin, while drinking beer. Afterwards, you can soak up the health benefits of a sauna.

5. Candlelit concerts
If you're not fussed about celebrating Valentine's on the day itself, this one is for waiting a few days. The candlelit concerts offer a unique and atmospheric experience on 17 February in the European Quarter and tickets are still available.
A string quartet will reimagine romantic film scores for Valentine's Day, such as Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John and Love Story by Taylor Swift.
Visitors can grab a glass of champagne to get in the mood for the 60-minute concert. More here.
