The Federal Government will hold a National Security Council meeting on Thursday morning over the ongoing war in Ukraine as well as the federal response to skyrocketing drug-related crimes. A press conference will follow the meeting at 11:00.

Prime Minister De Croo and the government will present their latest approach to combatting the so-called war on drug trafficking, in light of the recent rise of drug-related crimes in the country.

Multiple authorities in Antwerp, one of the Belgian cities most affected by drug traffickers, have called for a National Security Council meeting over a potential government response to drug trafficking and subsequent violence in the country.
