The body of a 19-year-old woman was found partially charred on Saturday in the province of Liège, according to Sudinfo and La Dernière Heure. One person was reportedly arrested.
Contacted by Belga News Agency, the Liège Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that an autopsy was performed on a partially charred body. However, it did not provide further details about the case.
According to Sudinfo, the body of the young woman was found in her apartment on Rue des Hédroits in Seraing on Saturday morning. The news outlet added that the investigators are assuming it was a femicide.
On Wednesday, Sudinfo and La Dernière Heure reported that the ex-partner, wanted since Saturday, was arrested by the Federal Police. The investigation is ongoing.
