Walibi amusement park will reopen its doors on 5 April to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the park announced in a press release on Thursday.

This season, the park will feature a new area designed to attract thrill-seekers and curious visitors alike: Dock World.

The project represents an investment of €35 million and 15 months of construction.

Dock World offers adventurers a maritime-themed space where water and steel converge.

The highlight of this new zone is Mecalodon, a roller coaster that propels riders at 65 km/h along 925 metres of track, skimming the water.

Additionally, several iconic park attractions have been completely redesigned to fit this nautical theme.

For example, Psyké Underground has been renamed back to its original name, Turbine, and Flash Back now blends into the industrial port setting.
