The seventh edition of the Bike Brussels show began on Friday at the Tour&Taxis in Brussels. Until Sunday evening, bike enthusiasts have the chance to try and purchase various types of bikes, whether electric or mechanical.
Around 110 exhibitors are participating in this edition, highlighting the themes of innovation and sustainable mobility. For three days, folding bikes, cargo bikes, speed pedelecs, children’s bikes, and racing bikes will be showcased at Tour and Taxis.
The event gathers major brands of bicycles and equipment, offering an immersive experience in the world of urban cycling, bike travel, and cycle logistics.
“The rise of city cycling is undeniable,” the organisers said, citing recent data trends. In 2023, Brussels recorded ten million cyclist journeys – a 7% increase compared to the previous year, according to Brussels Mobility data. Since 2020, cycling traffic has surged by 78%.
Electric-assist bikes now account for 41% of bikes ridden daily, meeting a growing demand for efficiency from an increasingly diverse audience.

While the latest innovations in active mobility will be prominently featured at the show, the public can also explore various equipment (waterproof clothing, smart helmets, ultra-resistant locks) and technologies (extended-range batteries, intelligent lighting, specialised GPS, etc.).
Both indoor and outdoor test tracks are available, and workshops and activities will be held throughout the event. Experts will be present to advise the public on new gear and give an introduction to cycle logistics.
Activities and entertainment for children are also planned. The show is open on Friday from 12:00 to 18:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. For more details, see here.
