Fears are rising across Brazil as Jair Bolsonaro, the country's current President, refuses to concede defeat to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (known mononymously as Lula) in the presidential election held last Sunday.
Bolsonaro has not been seen in public since 20:00 on Sunday when Brazil's Superior Electoral Court declared Lula the winner with 50.9% of the vote to Bolsonaro's 49.1%.
Brazilian media reported on Monday that Bolsonaro was set to deliver a concession speech that day, however, by Tuesday morning, the speech had still not been given.
In another bizarre turn of events, Bolsonaro and his wife, Michelle, recently unfollowed each other on Instagram. The couple has been married since 2013.
