Five dogs have killed a seven-year-old boy near Mons in Wallonia.
The boy died on Thursday after being attacked by five dogs in Goegnies-Chaussée, south of Mons, the Mons Public Prosecutor's Office reported on Friday.
A woman and her son were feeding the Alaskan Malamutes in their family kennel when five of them attacked, RTBF reported. The mother intervened and gave her son first aid while waiting for the emergency services, but the boy did not survive.
The Public Prosecutor confirmed the child's death and has opened an investigation into involuntary manslaughter. It declined to comment further for the time being.
