Customs officials found 872 kilograms of marijuana in the Antwerp port area.
The bust took place on 9 January, but the Ministry of Finance has only just revealed the case.
The drugs were hidden in a container beneath insulation panels. The container came from Canada, where cannabis is legal.
The drugs have since been destroyed. An investigation is underway to identify the sender and recipient.
