Spring is around the corner and with it comes one of the most anticipated floral events: Floralia Brussels.
Floralia is making its grand return to the Château de Grand-Bigard from 4 April to 2 May, offering a chance to wander through a spectacular garden filled with over one million tulips and countless other spring blooms.
Nestled just 15 minutes from Brussels, the Château de Grand-Bigard transforms into a floral paradise each spring. The annual Floralia Brussels exhibition celebrates its 22nd edition in 2025, inviting flower lovers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts to revel in a magnificent explosion of colours and scents.
Designed to reflect the artistry of Dutch and Belgian floral traditions, the event features 400 varieties of tulips, alongside hyacinths, daffodils, and countless other springtime flowers. Gardeners meticulously plant the bulbs by hand every autumn, ensuring a truly magical display when spring arrives.
What to expect?
Special events will be organised, including a Venetian parade featuring elegant costumes, masks, and a refined atmosphere reminiscent of Venice. The dates for the parade have not yet been announced.
Additionally, Maya Days will be part of the programme, offering a day filled with adventure, games, and fun with Maya the Bee and her friends. The Maya Days will take place on these dates.

As for the flowers, everything visitors see is grown on-site. "Every year, we plant one million bulbs," the organisers says proudly. "And we don't use any chemicals – no fertilisers or pesticides. We simply plant the bulbs and let nature surprise us."
Spring flowers thrive in mild conditions, but excessive heat can be just as harmful as severe weather. “Temperatures above 24°C are not ideal,” they note. “These are spring flowers – they prefer temperatures closer to 20°C.”
Flexibility for Visitors
Weather worries goes beyond flower blooming. What happens if it rains on a day when visitors have already booked their tickets?
“They can easily change the date themselves through our website,” the organiser assures. “We’ve made sure visitors have that flexibility.”
