AB InBev, the Belgian multinational brewing giant based in Leuven, will relocate about a hundred of its employees who worked in Ukraine to Brussels, the company announced on Friday.
The company operates three breweries in Ukraine in the cities of Chernihiv, Kharkov and Mykolaiv. Employees of those breweries, people with logistical, administrative and production functions, have been moved to other locations by the Leuven company in recent weeks.
104 employees and family members are accommodated in Brussels – 68 in an apartment building in Saint-Gilles and 36 in Hotel Plasky in Schaerbeek, Bruzz reported.

The children of Ukrainian employees housed in Schaerbeek are now also attending schools in the local area, an AB Inbev spokesperson said. Other AB Inbev employees are being hosted in Leuven, Prague, and other safe cities within Ukraine.
Alongside organising accommodation for displaced staff, for example in hotels or apartments, AB Inbev also provides financial support.
“Since the conflict erupted, getting our employees to safety has been our number one priority,” said Floris Calcoen of AB InBev. “We will of course free up the necessary time and resources for that.”
