The transfer is not yet official, but it's on everyone's lips. Eden Hazard is about to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Red Devil gave the Blues a successful farewell by scoring two goals and giving an assist against Arsenal (4-1) in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
"I've always been happy here, during the past seven seasons," said Hazard after the final. "There are some high, and some low moments. But the pleasure of playing football is still there. Winning trophies is always good, always good for the club, always good for the fans. I'm not someone who is very emotional. I was just thinking about winning the game. I'm lucky to have scored two goals. But if I had not scored, and we had won the game, I would have been just as happy."
Hazard will leave London for Madrid.
"It will be official in a few days. I think it was my last match," said the Brainois. "Now the clubs have to agree. I am waiting like you are, as everyone is. I cannot say more. I hope ... well, not I hope, because I have a special affection for this club. but if it was my last game, I think I gave everything I had," added Hazard, who could end up playing against Chelsea in the Champions League. "I don’t know if we can be in the same group but playing against Chelsea and Lille would be great."
Chelsea’s coach Maurizio Sarri respects Eden Hazard’s choice. "He's a great player, but it takes two or three months to understand him as a man. Once you do, he's a great man. I knew Eden wanted to leave. I wanted to respect his decision," the Blues’ Italian coach said.
