Journalist Björn Soenens is set to turn stories from his time as a US correspondent for Belgian broadcaster VRT into a theatre show.
Starting in the autumn, Soenens will tour Flanders with his show ‘All American,’ the VRT announced on Monday evening.
On stage, he will share a wealth of stories from nearly a decade of living and working in New York City, drawing from over 100 reporting trips across almost all 50 US states, from Alaska to Michigan, Tennessee to Wyoming.
Soenens has worked for the VRT for 33 years, spending spent eight of those as the Belgian broadcaster’s fixed US correspondent.
He recently returned to Belgium and has been succeeded in the US by Thomas De Graeve.
