The Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA) has launched an online tool called ‘Kredietzoeker’ ahead of the Batibouw expo.

The tool provides people wanting to renovate their house or apartment with an overview of the types of loans available in Flanders.

Users must answer a few questions on the Kredietzoeker website. They then receive a summary of credit options offered by the Flemish government, banks, and social credit institutions.

The tool also provides tips on creating a good renovation plan and available premiums. With the results, individuals can proceed to an Energy House or bank. “The right loan ensures that citizens can pay for home improvements without having the full investment amount at the start of the works. This gives citizens a push to make energy-efficient renovations possible,” said VEKA spokesperson Lotte Ringoot.

It is important to note that VEKA’s Kredietzoeker should not be confused with the commercial website kredietzoeker.be.
