On Friday, Brussels informers asked seven parties to give their views by Monday on the option of a seven-party coalition.
The seven-party coalition would consist of Francophone liberals MR, socialists PS, centrists Les Engagés, and Flemish greens Groen, socialists Vooruit, liberals Open VLD, and Christian Democrats CD&V.
According to the informers, there is a broadly shared desire both to make progress on reforms, particularly in the face of The Brussels-Capital Region's unprecedented budgetary challenge, and to cooperate with the Federal Government in a number of areas, including security.
