Fast food: growing in France, Quick wants to expand abroad

Quick, the revived fast-food chain in France, is aiming to expand into Europe, according to its CEO Frédéric Levacher.

The French-Belgian chain, acquired by US investment firm HIG Capital in 2021, saw revenues in France of €515 million in 2024, a 25% increase, bolstered by 30 new restaurant openings.

“We also achieved a comparable restaurant growth of 3 percentage points due to increased customer visits,” noted Levacher.

He stated that there were no nationwide price hikes last year, aiming to keep prices accessible for customers, but hinted at possible increases this year.

Quick plans to have 300 restaurants in France by the end of 2028. Levacher noted that despite receiving over 900 franchise applications last year, only around ten were accepted.

Overall, Quick operates in four countries — Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and Morocco — with 245 restaurants and reported revenues of approximately €800 million in 2024.

Beyond these countries, “We aim to expand in the next 24 months, initially targeting Europe,” Levacher said, mentioning ongoing discussions and interest.

In 2025, Quick plans to open 30 more locations, including cities such as Nantes and Montpellier.

The chain also introduced table service at the end of last year, responding to customer demand.
