It's still more than a month away, but you can already start dreaming about the next edition of 'StrEat Fest,' which will return to Brussels this May.
People often think of long lines waiting in front of various food trucks selling fast and easy dishes when hearing street food, but this four-day festival will transform the Tour & Taxis site into a real "temple of culinary delight."
Unlike last year, this year's edition will place the cuisine of one particular country in the limelight: the Philippines.
"Street food is about the culture and the country you come from. My mother is from the Philippines, so as an ambassador I want to introduce as many people as possible to the Philippines," said Chef Glen Ramaekers of Brussels restaurant 'Humphrey' who is an ambassador of the festival.
The festival attracted some 9,000 visitors last year but wants to shift up a gear this edition and attract up to 15,000 visitors – with more chefs and various workshops, as well as a diverse programme of concerts, DJ-sets and performances by street artists.
Will we see you there? Let @Maajtee know.
