Temperatures in Belgium are increased on Friday for the first taste of spring, ahead of a cloudy and slightly chillier weekend, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).
This Friday, the weather will be mostly dry with some sunshine often obscured by high and mid-level cloud coverage. In the Ardennes, there will initially be some local morning fog.
Temperatures will be particularly mild, with highs ranging from 12°C in the High Fens to 17°C in the plain of Flanders.
Winds will be moderate to sometimes quite strong from the south to south-southeast.
Cloud cover will gradually increase in the evening. By the end of the night, some showers or periods of rain may occur, especially in the west of the country.
Minimum temperatures will range from 4°C in the High Fens to 10°C in the plains, with a moderate wind from the south.
Saturday will be very cloudy with periods of rain mostly affecting the west of the country. Maximum temperatures will range between 10°C and 14°C.
Sunday is forecasted to start rather grey, before sunny spells break through the low clouds and fog later in the morning. Temperatures will remain mild, with high temperatures between 9°C and 14°C.
