French police were involved in a cross-border car chase on Monday evening which ended with the arrest of the suspects in the Brussels city centre, SudInfo reports.
Brussels' Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that both passengers of the other car had been arrested near Place Saint-Géry.
The chase began after French police stopped the car, a Citroen C3, in the north of France. However, the drivers refused the check and drove off, being pursued by the officers.
The pursuit continued into Belgium, where the French police were supported by various local Belgian officers before arriving in Brussels.
The driver has now been summoned set to appear in front of a Brussels court, while the other passenger was released after being questioned by Belgian police.
