The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) has issued a code orange warning for the Brussels-Capital Region, Flemish Brabant, and three provinces in Wallonia due to the heavy rain forecast for Wednesday.
According to the RMI, an undulating cold front will take over Belgian weather on Wednesday, causing heavy precipitation of 50 to 70 mm. Thunderstorms and gales are also expected in several parts of the country.

As a result, the institute has put the provinces of Brussels-Capital Region, Flemish Brabant, Walloon Brabant, Liège, and Luxembourg in code orange, with all other provinces in the country in code yellow.
