Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed on Tuesday that Kevin De Bruyne will be out for “several months.”
The Belgian midfielder is suffering from a hamstring injury.
"It's a serious injury," Guardiola said at a press conference ahead of City's European Supercup fixture against Sevilla. "We have to decide surgery or no surgery but he will be out for a few months.
He added that the playmaker's injury was a big blow, a big loss for City since Kevin has "specific qualities."
"We have to move forward,"the City manager said. "Kevin is irreplaceable but we have talented players.”
