Jungle City Amusement Park in Tournai has issued an appeal on its Facebook page on Friday to find an escaped wallaby after storm Ciarán damaged its enclosure.
Strong wind gusts that swept across Belgium on Thursday had inflicted damage on the park’s enclosure housing Bennett’s wallabies.
Seizing this opportunity, the little marsupial made its escape.
According to a post on Jungle City’s Facebook page, the animal is five months old and approximately 70 centimetres tall.
The park advises: "Do not attempt to catch it, as it is very timid," while also asking the public for assistance in locating the the wallaby.
