Monthly Netflix subscriptions in Belgium will rise by between €1 and €2, according to new rates announced on Wednesday. It is the first price hike by streaming service since October 2021 and will take immediate effect.

The basic package, which permits viewing on one screen at a time, will go up by €1 to €9.99 per month. Subscribers wishing to view on two screens simultaneously will now have to pay €14.99 instead of €13.49 monthly. The highest tier subscription, offering up to four screens at once, will increase by €2, going up to €19.99 per month. The cost of adding an additional household to an account remains unchanged at €3.99.

Unlike some neighbouring countries, Netflix does not currently offer a cheaper ad-supported base subscription to users in Belgium. These packages are available in Germany and France for €4.99 and €5.99 per month, respectively.
