The body of a 46-year-old woman was discovered on Sunday morning in Herentals, in the province of Antwerp, in a suspected femicide.
A 54-year-old man, believed to be her partner, is suspected of murder and has been arrested, Antwerp’s public prosecutor’s office has confirmed.
A forensic expert has been appointed to examine the deceased’s home, and the suspect will be questioned later on Sunday.
