A 19-year-old man was injured in a stabbing incident on a bus in Overpelt, Pelt on Saturday evening and is not in a life-threatening condition.
The incident occurred on a bus heading towards Hasselt when an argument broke out between the two young men. The bus driver halted the vehicle on Lindelsebaan in Overpelt. Local police HANO and emergency services arrived at the scene.
The 19-year-old man was found to have been stabbed and was taken to the hospital. Police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect.
The Limburg public prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the violent incident.
