Those with flights booked to and from Italy on Friday should expect delays and cancellations as Italian air traffic controllers will carry out a strike over working hours.
Both Brussels Airport in Zaventem and Brussels South in Charleroi have announced that a total of 40 flights from and to the Bel Paese have been cancelled.
A spokesperson for the airport in Zaventem stated that 11 departures and 11 arrivals have been cancelled from Brussels Airlines (going to Rome, Milan and Naples), ITA Airways and Ryanair.
However, they also specified that some flights from and to Italy will still be flying tomorrow.

Charleroi Airport has the same number of departing and arriving flights (11 each), all of which are operated by Ryanair.
The strike comes as a result of disagreements between air traffic controller ENAV and various unions over the organisation of working hours, among other issues.
