Olivier Vandecasteele will be making his first public appearance on Wednesday since being released from an Iranian prison on 26 May.
He will symbolically remove the banner of his face which was placed on top of the Belfry of Tournai, Vandecasteele's home town.
Tournai's municipal council had placed the canvas on the belfry earlier this year to raise awareness of Vandecasteele's plight in Iran, where he was imprisoned on false charges of espionage.

It would seem fitting, then, for the aid worker to choose his home town as the location for his first public appearance since returning home.
He set to deliver a speech at 18:00 on Wednesday 28 June. Once the banner is removed by the Belgian and his family, multicoloured balloons will be released into the air followed by musical performances.
