The police zone of Ixelles/City of Brussels has warned that traffic may be disrupted in the afternoon due to an important football match.

Hindrance is expected on the roads of Brussels this Sunday (30 April) as the "Croky Cup" final will take place between RAFC Antwerp and KV Mechelen at the King Baudouin Stadium in the north of the region, next to the Heysel site. Many streets around this area will be closed to traffic.

Thousands of supporters are expected to travel to Brussels for the match, which will start at 14:30. The gates to the stadium will open at noon.

"Traffic inconveniences are expected and you are asked to get to the stadium as early as possible," the police zone Ixelles/ City of Brussels warned on its social media. The football clubs gave motorists the same warning. "The earlier you get to the Heysel, the bigger your chance of getting a spot close to the stadium."

Car park C at Brussels Expo is reserved for RAFC fans. Parking here costs €10 per vehicle."It is recommended to buy your parking ticket in advance to avoid any inconvenience," the police noted.

"For KV Mechelen fans, avoid parking problems and opt for public transport or a remote car park," at the Docks. From here, fans can take trams 3 or 7 towards the stadium.
