Radio 2 has strengthened its position as the largest radio station in Flanders with a market share of 25.08% between September and December 2024.
This marks an increase of 0.86 percentage points compared to the May-August period when the station experienced a minor loss. The new listener figures were released by the Centre for Information on Media (CIM).
Notably, Studio Brussel has recovered, climbing to 8.22% (+1.16 percentage points) after nearly a 2 percentage point drop in the previous measurement period. This surpasses Radio 1, which registered a decline to 7.03% (-1.88 percentage points). MNM also shows slight growth, from 5.66 to 6.36% (+0.7 percentage points).
Qmusic remains the second most popular station in Flanders but has fallen to 13.7% (-1.11 percentage points). Meanwhile, DPG’s other station, Joe, remains stable at 12.34% (+0.28 percentage points). Play Nostalgie (3.97 to 4.59%) and Willy (1.91 to 2.38%) both make gains. Klara (VRT) remains nearly unchanged at 1.86%.

In French-speaking Belgium, Nostalgie has become the new market leader with 14.95% (+1.02 percentage points), following a close contest with Radio Contact (13.24%; -0.3 percentage points) and VivaCité (12.92%; -0.78 percentage points).
Bel RTL has lost 1.33 percentage points (from 11.79% to 10.46%), while Classic 21 remains almost stable at 9.77 percent.
