The Brussels jazz festival Brosella Spring will return from 20 to 22 March at the cultural hotspot LaVallée in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, according to the organisers.

The festival will feature a wide array of artists, including singer Helena Casella, pianist Eve Beuvens with her band Lysis, bassist Louise Van den Heuvel with Sonic Hug, and solo pianist Casimir Liberski.

Several new projects are scheduled, such as ‘This is the Omen – EP release party’, ‘Julie Rains’, ‘Blind IO’, and ‘Donder in the donker’. The organisers have also promised a "fantastic Brussels surprise act," with more details to come.

A notable highlight is the return of BXL x LDN Interplay II, a collaboration between Tomorrow’s Warriors from the UK and Brosella Festival. After the successful first edition, where three promising young Belgian musicians collaborated with talented artists from London, six new young talents will debut under the mentorship of artists including Chantal Acda.

The spring edition of Brosella complements the summer festival at the Green Theatre near the Atomium. “We operate in an intimate club atmosphere with limited capacity, enabling intense interaction between the audience and the band,” said director Bert Schreurs.

The festival will host two small indoor stages, aiming for a maximum of 300 attendees per evening. Schreurs added, “We’re presenting ten bands that showcase the best of what Brussels and the rest of Belgium have to offer in jazz right now.”

This edition will again use the well-known Brosella payment system, allowing visitors to choose their ticket price to make jazz concerts accessible to everyone. Tickets are available on the Brosella website.
