Cyclist in induced coma after heavy fall in Walloon Brabant

A cyclist from La Hulpe is in an induced coma after a serious fall at the weekend in Incourt, Walloon Brabant.

The 31-year-old man had a heavy fall off his bike while cycling on Sunday late afternoon on Rue de Jauchelette with three friends.

He lost control of his bike, went over the handlebars, and hit the ground headfirst.

Despite wearing a helmet, the cyclist lost consciousness and was seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital and placed in an induced coma.
