The social tariffs for electricity and natural gas will increase again on 1 April.
The rise in electricity prices for the April-June period will be around 9%, compared to the first few months of the year.
This is a smaller increase than the over 10% seen in the last two quarters, though it remains lower than at the beginning of 2024.
Natural gas and heating costs will go up by 5%, a decrease from the 15% rise three months ago.
Social tariffs offer reduced rates for certain individuals or households. These rates do not change regardless of the energy provider. The federal energy regulator, CREG, sets the tariffs each quarter.
