Around 90 performances, including many new shows, make up the programme for the Street Arts Festival (FAR) in Huy, Liège Province.
The event will be held on Saturday, 19 and Sunday, 20 April, organisers announced on Tuesday, emphasising that all events are free of charge.
The FAR of Huy, formerly known as Les Unes fois d’un soir, is the first street arts festival of the season.
This ninth edition will be held at twelve locations in the city, including the new Batta esplanade of the left bank, the Grand-Place, the Place Verte, the old town, and several schools.
"Since last year, the event has been organised over two days. No less than 33 companies will present exceptional shows. At FAR de Huy, we champion quality and free access. Yes, all performances are free to the public," says director Olivier Minet.
In addition to Belgian artists, more than half of the participating companies are French. Two Swiss troupes and Palestinian comedian Ahmed Tobasi complete the lineup.

Several performances will be presented for the first time at the festival.
"Spectators come from all over to attend the FAR of Huy. Like La Flèche Wallonne and other significant events, it helps our city grow," comments Mayor Christophe Collignon. "As a former medieval city with rich heritage and pedestrian areas, Huy is particularly suited for street arts."
The FAR of Huy is organised by the circus arts centre Latitude 50, in partnership with the City of Huy.
