Belgian commuters wishing to drive into Europe this weekend can expect considerable traffic congestion, according to the VAB traffic service.
The French congestion
On Friday, due to a combination of daily traffic and weekend travellers, heavy traffic is expected from early morning until late evening. in the south-east of France, particularly in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes area.
On Saturday, the A7 motorway in the Rhône valley is anticipated to be highly congested, but should have lightened by Sunday. Delays on the A10 in the Île-de-France are also expected to last until after lunchtime.

The Tour de France, which runs through Castelnau-Mognoac and Cahors on Friday, Lacapelle-Marival and Rocamadour on Saturday, and Paris La Défense and the Champs-Elysées on Sunday, will also generate considerable traffic problems.

Other European roads may experience major traffic congestion this weekend.
