Line 6 of the Brussels Metro will be interrupted between Simonis and Roi Baudouin on 15 and 16 February, announced regional transport operator STIB on Tuesday. Replacement buses will be available.

The metro disruption is due to maintenance work near Bockstael station. A switch will be replaced as part of the regular maintenance of the metro network. STIB has planned three metro interruptions throughout 2025 to replace or install new switches.

Replacement buses (M-bus) will run throughout the weekend. They will travel between Simonis and Heysel via Roi Baudouin. The buses will service all the stops served by metro line 6, with the exception of Pannenhuis.

The Pannehuis station can be reached by bus 46, 86 or 88. Alternatively, replacement buses will have stops near the station: the Amélie Gomand stop through bus line 53 and the Belgica and Bockstael metro stations.

Metro line 2 will still operate between the Simonis and Elisabeth metro stations.

Tram 93 can be taken to travel between Bockstael and Stadium. Bus 83 can be used by passengers travelling between Roi Baudouin and Heysel.

More information on the disruptions and alternative transport services can be found on the STIB website and mobile app.
